A Market For All Seasons

After a 2 year hiatus due to Covid restrictions, First Presbyterian Church is resuming A Market for All Seasons (formerly known as the Holiday Market) on October 29, 2022, 8:00 am -- Noon.

Why the name change?  We decided to provide arts and crafts for ALL holiday celebrations -- not just Christmas -- plus great decorating ideas for throughout the year.  Here's a sample of what to expect.

There will be various arts and crafts such candles, wreaths, wall hangings, pinecones with seed for the birds --  too many items to name!  And let’s not forget the baked goods.  How does fresh baked bread sound, or perhaps cookies, cakes, muffins, candy, or brownies?  Come and see all the new items!!!

All proceeds from the Market will be going to families in need this holiday season.  Families of the community are “adopted” and food, toys, clothing, and other necessities will be purchased by the members of the church.

How About a Raffle or Two?

As in the past, there will be a Christmas quilt raffle.  This year's quilt is called Glad Tidings by Maywood Studio.  It was sewn by Linda Volcek and quilted by Calla Lily Quilts in Greensboro.

And wait until you see the adorable scarecrow made from a gourd.  He’s just waiting for a new home.

Raffle tickets will be $1 each or $5 for 6.  The drawing will be held November 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.  You do not need to be present to win.

SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR!!!!

A change from past years will be the serving of the Veterans’ Breakfast.  We want to honor each of our Vets for their service so that will take place on November 12, from 8 am - 10 a.m.  As in the past, Veterans will eat for free.  Come and get your pancakes and bacon!

Also, the raffle for the quilt and scarecrow will be drawn this time.  Come and enjoy meeting our Veterans and the possibility of winning the raffles!

See you there!
