2013 Scholarship Recipient

On Sunday, May19th, Ellen Watts, Chairman of the First Presbyterian Scholarship Committee, made the following presentation to our 2013 Scholarship Recipient, Bradin Routh

"Bradin will be attending UNC-Charlotte, next year, seeking a degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.

"Bradin is a member of the East Forsyth Madrigals (audition choir), the East Forsyth Men’s Tennis Team where I believe; he finished the season in the #1 spot and 3rd in the conference. He is a member of the National Honor Society and he volunteers at Kernersville Elementary School.

"Here at First Presbyterian, Bradin helps run the sound board for the early service.  He helps each month with KIC (our children’s program), and each summer with our Vacation Bible School.  Bradin is also on the Contemporary Service Committee.  He has been on 5 Mission Team trips and so, therefore, helps with projects and fundraising for the Mission Team throughout the year.  Bradin is an active participant in the church Youth Group and is also an active participant in the Running on Faith Ministry in which he regularly participates in runs and marathons.

"This is a very impressive young man and I hope UNC-Charlotte knows what they are getting!  On behalf of First Presbyterian Church, I am honored to present this Scholarship to Bradin Routh.  We wish you well in all that you undertake in your future.  May God continue to Bless You!"
