2017 Graduation Recognition

Drew Evans has been a vital part of our church family for many years. She shyly first attended when her mom became our Christian Ed Director, but it wasn't long before we realized she had a personality and purpose all her own. Drew began serving in many capacities right from the beginning. She has regularly attended Sunday School classes and Youth Group. She has helped in the nursery and been an usher. She has helped with Youth lead services, gone on many Mission trips, participated in Rent a Youth, helped with the Holiday Market, Mission breakfasts,  the Eggs, VBS, and KIC. Whenever she is called upon to help, she has been right there!

At Grimsley High School, Drew is in the National Honor Society, and she is the Varsity Captain of the Swim Team. She is also a member of the Latin Club. One of her greatest accomplishments is that she has received the Gold Award in Girl Scouts! She is on the Executive Committee of the Junior Guild in Greensboro, as well as Teens Active in Greensboro, a service club. She is a very busy and accomplished young lady!

Drew will be attending Elon University this fall. She plans to major in Biochemistry on the Pre-Med track with a minor in public health studies.

We are very proud of all of your accomplishments! We will be praying for your success in all areas of your future life! May God Bless you on this journey!

On behalf of the scholarship committee and First Presbyterian Church, I present you with this scholarship, so that in some small way we can help with your future!

Megan Tincher was just a baby when she first came to First Presbyterian Church. She had that dark curly hair and adorable dimples even then.  She has been a regular attendee to Sunday School classes and Youth Group. She has been on many Mission Trips, helped with Holiday Market, Mission breakfasts, Rent a Youth,  KIC and Vacation Bible School. She has  helped with the nursery, ushering, and participated in Youth Sunday Services. She is always willing to help and do whatever she can for others.

At East Forsyth High School she has been a part of The Glee Club, and the Volleyball Club. She is looking forward to graduation day, June 9, 2017!

Megan has not completely made up her mind about her future. She may apply to Forsyth Tech seeking a nursing degree, or she is thinking about joining the Navy. Whatever she pursues, we want her to know she has our support! When the time comes to pursue more education, we want Megan to apply for the church scholarship, because it is just waiting for her!

Megan has so much to offer the world, our prayers will be that she will find just the right thing for her, and to know we are here for her always! God bless you Megan! Congratulations on your graduation!
