Decorative Painting Ministry
The Decorative Painting Ministry, which is no longer active, was not just another painting class. It also provided a time when participants could come together to enjoy fellowship, sharing and support for each other.
Decorative Painting Ministry began a new chapter in 2016 which continued in 2017. Instead of a set curriculum participants will work on their own individual projects.
It might be a decorative tray or box, a painting on canvas or board, a set of goblets or whatever they may choose.
Here are just three of the painters participating this year. Two are finishing up their current projects -- and the other is making plans for her next project.

Donna Myers, who provides provides guidance and assistance when needed, stated that “This gives each one the opportunity to explore new areas of painting.”
Donna is a Certified Teacher of Decorative Arts (TDA) and a Heritage Teacher with 30 years of experience in decorative painting. With a background in ceramics she became interested in decorative painting when she moved to Kernersville in 1986. She took her first class in decorative painting at Forsyth Tech under Jeanette Peace and, as they say, the rest is history.
